i am just one voice
This week has been awesome!! I love getting everyones emails its so fun!! Of course I love hearing about the lifes of everyone!! It really started last saturday! It was an amazing saturday full of opportunities and stories. First we went to a funeral for our investigators husband. It was a definitely weird feeling to it but it was amazing to see her and her grandson (he was baptized) so strong and holding firm at the baptism and i know why!! Its so true though how muich peace this Gospel can bring to often times devastating events like this funeral. It allows us to rejoice because of the knowledge that we know. We then had a baptism for Romina Parra (12) and Victoria (8). It was amazing. The spirit was so strong! It was all in Spanish and it was amazing to see how much I know. It was just amazing plus a lot of people came! on average there is about 20 people on sunday there and there was about 25ish at the baptism including nonmembers. It was awesome because the spirit was so strong! As these 2 sisters got baptized their dad Jesus is still waiting. I don't know what for but i could tell that he knows this is something that he needed. So we will meet with him more and see if that is what might have pushed him to it. Afterwards we had some Mexican Ceviche and it was sooooo bomb. We had that went to a members home for a quick couple fajitas then came back for another baptism. this one was for Elder Burton in our zone. It was a nice service and it was great. This is the funny thing for the week though. Afterwards we left and were gonna go work for a bit and so we left but we turned down this road and all of the sudden it turned into sand dunes hahah and of course Im sure you can guess we got stuck... I was so mad for Gonzalez leading me there but it was fine. We called a member to get us out with their big diesel truck and we hooked it up and... nothing! by this time it was 9 so we had to give up for the night and just got a ride back. We then went back in the morning and a member from singles ward brought a huge tractor and yanked us right out! It was sooooo funny. There will be pictures but then sunday was good. Another long one but it was good. We had the confirmation of the 2 girls and it was great hard to keep along in spanish but it was great. I even got to be a part of it too!! The highlight of sunday was that night. We cover the whole valley for singles. They meet in another building so we often don't make it to church with them but they have branch prayer that night so we go to meet with the ward missionaries and what not. So we went watched a BYU devotional way funny and good then we were talking with the different members. One of them called over to us and we met this girl he was with. Her name is Carita and she's from New York. I still don't understand the connection but she's out here and a nonmember. So out member introduced us and invited us to give the first lesson that night! so 20 minutes later we went and taught! It was amazing! The spirit was flowing so strong we transitioned well and she really felt it too! I even soft set her to baptism meaning she said she would be baptized eventually but no specific date yet so as we move forward hopefully we'll get her. It was amazing. I didn't even feel like it was real and that is the blessing of this calling! I'm not even the teacher its the spirit guiding me and filling my mouth with the words I need to say! It's so awesome but the rest of the week we just got to work!! Overall it was an awesome week! Oh by the way our P-days are changing to Mondays soo I will email you all on MOnday again!! But everything is great I'm so blessed to be a part of this work. I have been listening to Especially for Missionaries in the car and as I go to sleep and those songs hit me. In one song it says "how can I keep this gift to myself, When I can lift somebody else" its sooooo true I found that love for this gospel and Book of Mormon and I dont know how i didn't share that before. Another song I love it says " I am just one voice, but one voice can still be heard." It's amazing to see how the Lord works and just as he promises us he is preparing people for each and everyone of us! Les amo mucho. Yo estoy tratando trababjar duro y yo puedo su amor para mi. Ustedes siempre son en mis oraciones. Les amo mucho.
